Forget You by Nina Crespo
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Forget You is the first book in the Kingman Brothers series and tells King's story. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review. King is one of the two Kingman brothers who both started their own successful commercial property company which put them in direct competition with their father. They have a terrible relationship with their father which the reader learns how the relationship deteriorated to its current state and it is pretty horrid to witness. King isn't exactly a womanizer so much as he is a serial dater who has no intention of settling down and has to all appearances never been in love.
Sophie is King's admin assistant and keeps him on track as well as keeping the other admins on track in the organization. She is someone they do not want to lose. Sophie is also a gifted jewelry designer who ignored her own dreams because her mother told her being a designer was not secure enough to ensure she was able to take care of herself. She loves her job and has made it a point to stay out of King's bed. Sophie stands in for King's date at the last minute and all Sophie's promises to herself regarding King go out of the window. What makes things more complicated is King is in a plane crash and has temporary memory loss and does not remember his night with Sophie. Unfortunately, this means he doesn't remember how rudely he treated her. Their work relationship is in jeopardy and any chance of potentially more is also crushed. King has a lot of work to do to fix his mistakes and he also forgets something that is vital for his company. Forget You is a good story that is a good start to this series and I suspect a bit of a surprise is in the works for the brothers.
I might occasionally blog about books and my other passions, travel and coffee.
